Customer work

Here are some recent shots of customer's work:
This sweet little row quilt is a baby shower gift. After buying the fabrics a couple weeks ago, she went home and whipped it up. We  are so impressed that she has it done and brought it in to show us completed before the little one arrived!
Above we have Dwanna posing with her teacher Margaret and a lovely sampler quilt which uses various techniques- a real skill building class for anyone wanting to learn more about quilting!
Above and below are two other sampler quilts in progress one in batiks and one in French General fabrics
Beautiful ladies! Can't wait to see them finished!

Melinda Bula's "Bird of Paradise"

Melinda Bula is a big name in the quilting world.  We recently had the pleasure of hearing her story at the Tri-County Quilt Guild meeting on Tuesday and then, on Wednesday she came to Quilters Crossing to teach her Bird of Paradise workshop!
These ladies were in full flow when I snuck in to snap some pictures:
Standing room only!

I know they look like a commercial for sewing! They are both very photogenic.
Deb made it a family event! She and her niece were both taking the class!
Debbie Spoelker, Program chair for the guild having a great time at the workshop.
Can't wait to see some of these machine appliqued beauties finished!

Quilters Crossing now carrying Kaffe Fassett fabrics!

We received our first shipment of Kaffe Fassett fabrics from this guy:
This is McNeil. He is our usual UPS driver/delivery man and when he came in today we knew he had the goods!
We received some of Kaffe's new 2014 stuff:
And some of his classic basics:
 Precuts:
 Cool colors:
 Warm Colors:
 Classic Kaffe!
We are pretty excited about it! Someone wanted three yards before we had even unpacked all the boxes! Yay!
It looks great with the peppered cottons and the aged muslins!
