Extraordinary Colors Quilt

Nancy whipped this quilt up from the children's book "Extraordinary Colors!" The quilt pattern appears at the back of the book and the rest of the book is a cute story about colors for a child.
Great gift idea!

Here are some detail shots of the cute blocks:

Since it came out really cute and the pattern tested well we have these kitted up so you can make a quilt for a child and give a book for them to read to go along with it! Love being able to encourage reading and quilting at the same time!
The quilt has big chunky shapes and sewed up quickly!

Santa's Visit to Quilters Crossing

So Santa and Mrs. Claus were on the porch yesterday afternoon. Many children came to visit and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas. Some of these children were happy and some were a tad more reluctant to meet the big guy!
We also had some unusual children visit at the end of the day:

Here are Gabby and Louie. Gabby (above) was decked out in a lovely red and white number complete with a tutu and foot cuffs. She wasn't really thrilled to wear her fascinator but here is a quick pic of her with it on:
Louie was fine with his Santa jacket but every time his little hood and beard were put on as seen below he would sit down and try to pull it off.
They did manage to get everything together though and get a shot with Santa.
Overall it was a great day in Tomball with lovely weather and a nice turn out of people. What a great way to start the holidays!
