Machine Applique

Dolores taught her ever popular
 Machine Applique class
yesterday and today with great success.
Here are a few shots of the projects they worked on:
Dwanna posed here with her Christmas Tree and Dolores.
Judy chose to do the Cow pattern:
If you want your own Purple cow you can follow Judy's lead or mix Grape soda and vanilla ice cream!
Sounds like a good snack to me although her cow is absolutely adorable!

Barbara is working on the Hot air Balloon pattern, here she is with two completed balloons already!
This is a really fun class because you can choose any of the BJ designs you want to do for it and it is a great stash buster project! It will be offered again so let us know at the shop if you are interested!

Last Day for Tote bag swap!

Tuesday the 30th of April is the last day to turn in your tote bag(s) for the swap and the last day you can be entered in the gift card drawing for participants!
We have received over 20 bags in our swap!
Some original designs, some patterns and in all different colors and styles!
Thank you to all of our entrants! It was a very successful swap thanks to all of you!

Deb whipped up a sample of Jaybird Quilts pattern "Lotus" which uses the Hex 'n More ruler shown below:
She used the Madrona Road fabric line:
She made it crib sized but the pattern shows several size variations ( as all Jaybird patterns do). Always good directions, wonderfully illustrated patterns--kudos to their author Julie Herman.
We highly recommend them!

Winging It!

Nova Montgomery was here today teaching her class
 "Winging It!"
Jean, shown below, has been waiting to take this class for nearly three years when she first saw the quilt displayed in our shop!
Here are some of the other ladies who enjoyed class today:
Below, Deb enjoyed the class more than me taking her picture!

Student's Work for the day:
Featherweight Maintenance is tomorrow with Nova!

Sip and Snip etc...

( Just a note: our website is down, we apologize for this inconvenience and promise we are working on a solution to the problem!)
This has been a hot seller at the shop recently, it is called the Sip and Snip. It attaches to any table in less than 1 minute and allows you a secure place for your coffee or water bottle while also collecting your scraps and threads! It can be removed in less than a minute too so you can set it up where ever you are stationed or take it with you to bee!

We also received shipment of more batiks! So we have lots of pretty new bolts as well as these monochromatic jellyrolls!
Labeling your quilt is very important!
We are now selling these adorable embroidered label blanks or you can order one and personalize it with embroidery as well!

New for the kids

It's been a while since we have had a new line in the shop from Riley Blake but, "So Happy Together"
was just too darn cute to pass up!
 Little houses....
 Mod flowers and Hexies!
 Circles and stripes!
Then we whipped up samples of this bib pattern:
We chose the "Oink a Doodle Moo" charm pack-
this pattern makes three different bibs out of 1 charm pack and 3 fat Quarters! See:
As the kids say, "Totes adorbs!"
